On my whole food plant-based journey, which began 12 years ago (2009), I had an “ah-ha” moment during the pandemic. From experience and research, I knew that our body has great healing powers if we take care of it. That includes the capability to protect us from pathogenic viruses. At some point, I expected health care providers and institutions such as the CDC and WHO to provide the public with helpful recommendations and solutions. Although there were the popular protocols of lockdowns, masks, and social distancing, there was an alarming scarcity of information on strengthening our immune system and preventing and even reversing the comorbidities (i.e., obesity, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular and kidney disease).
That fact put me on a mission to educate and inform people of the importance of including more plant-based foods in their diet and the benefits of incorporating healthy lifestyle practices.

When we are truly informed about what’s good for our health and put that knowledge into practice, our journey towards optimal health begins. We achieve a more intimate and harmonious relationship with our bodies. We can then trust it to take care of us because it has been doing that all our lives. Once we experience physical, mental, and emotional health and realize that our miraculous body can solve almost all our health problems…the excess fear, stress, and anxiety many are experiencing during the pandemic start to melt away. When that happens, we feel free inside and can begin to focus on some of the following and potentially catastrophic issues facing humanity today. They are… – Pollution of oceans, rivers, and streams – Massive deforestation – Depleted aquifers – Depletion of soil nutrients – Elimination of arable land – Contamination of the air we breathe – Increasing global poverty and starvation – Extinction and exploitation of other species To solve these issues, we need solutions that work and are sustainable. The solutions that I recommend are on our plate and in our actions = The Whole Plant-Based Food Lifestyle!
